Small Umbrellas For Kids

Start spending a little more time thinking about what type of umbrella to give to your children. Due to their inherent size, a child should not be waving around a large umbrella on his way to school. This causes many problems. First, your child can use the umbrella as a weapon if it is long enough, like a sword. Umbrellas need to be used to save you from the rain, not get your kid in trouble. A big umbrella can also pose too much of a problem to carry around since your child is unlikely to have Hercules-like strength at the age of 8. He or she needs a rain umbrella that is appropriate length for their own height.

A small umbrella fixes all these problems an adult size model creates. These have much shorter handles and the cover is not as wide. Not a big problem considering your child is not very wide either nor very tall. Compact umbrellas fit neatly into your child’s back pack and more importantly, their shorter length makes them less viable to use to whack their friends and annoy their teachers. You shouldn’t just hand down your old umbrella to your fifth grader, instead purchase a small model to match your kid’s physique.

Many models of small, child appropriate rain umbrellas can be found at umbrellas
