Recap Of Child Education Category

September is a dreaded month for the student community in the United States as Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) starts in this month. This is one test that will change their future forever as SAT scores are the keys to unlock the doors of colleges. The way student population is increasing; soon there won’t be enough college seats to accommodate them. Hence, only the best will be selected. This means, outside the school, the student community will need additional guidance in order to crack the SATs. Hence, the growth potentiality of tutoring service franchises within the broader Child Education category is huge. Already in 2004-05, the profit level rose by 6% and will further go up this year.

Now is the time for tutoring services as more SAT examinations will be held in the coming months and school year comes to a close in June. Everybody wants to do well in the exams and the schools sometime fail to provide that extra something needed to get into premium colleges. So, parents are hiring private tutors to help their children pass SAT/ACT with flying colors. The demand for tuitions is also high for students in schools; with increasing pressure of studies, they are in need of further help for doing their homework and project works properly. Another reason why tutoring franchises are having a great time is because people are more aware of the learning disability among their children and want outside help to overcome this barrier. These children need individual care and attention according to their needs that, sadly, sometimes a public school fails to provide. Tutoring services offer that and helps them to stay at par with their classmates.

The 2002 act called “No Child Left Behind” is aimed at increasing the test score of school children. By this act, government funding can be used for private tuitions of students who have failed to make yearly progress for consecutive three years. That has given another boost to the tutoring service franchises as more and more government sponsored students has started looking outside the school for help. Another reason why this segment of Child Education Category is hot because today’s parents are more educated and financially well-off than before and know the importance of good education. So, they are ready to spend extra money to see their children go to Ivy League schools.
